Day-to-day bookkeeping for my own online retail business.
Fuchsware / Independent online retail
An order begins long before shipping and doesn't always end with delivery. At Fuchsware, I look after everything in between: products, information, customers and day-to-day administration.
01 / Taking ownership
Running a business gives you both perspectives: your own organisation and your customers' expectations.
I organise purchasing and sales, process orders, and handle shipping, enquiries and complaints. Selling through eBay is part of my practical experience. Behind those individual tasks is one connected order history that I need to be able to follow later.
This experience shapes how I see processes. Unclear information rarely has no consequences: it leads to another question, delays the next step or makes later handling more difficult. That's why I see customer communication and organisation as closely connected.
02 / From the start to the follow-up
A simplified overview of the areas I handle in my own business.
Purchasing stock, preparing product information and organising sales. Customer questions can arise before an order is even placed.
Processing orders and keeping the relevant information together. Resolving open questions is part of handling the order.
Preparing products for shipment and handling any follow-up shipping enquiries.
Remaining available after the sale. Returns and complaints are a distinct part of the work.
Handling the related records and business administration. These responsibilities continue beyond delivery.
03 / Behind the scenes
Running my own business also means handling its financial administration. I use sevDesk and ELSTER for day-to-day bookkeeping and advance VAT returns for my business.
My experience also includes commercial imports from Japan. I used the German customs portal and worked through the administrative requirements for importing goods. The work therefore goes beyond listing and shipping a product.

04 / What I bring
In my own business, I switch between customer contact, operational tasks and administration. This teaches me to see enquiries in context and take responsibility beyond the immediate next action.
That's what I'd like to bring to a team: careful work, clear communication and a willingness to learn its tools and processes.
